Carol Brown

Carol Brown works in several art mediums: mokuhanga (Japanese woodblock print), and-made paper, collage, and artists books. Her work is about the process of eating fine art.
Carol has a Certificate in Printmaking at the Glassell School of Art at the Museum of fine Arts in Houston, Texas, and a B.S. degree in Clothing & Textiles from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma. Carol was accepted in an intensive, three week, graphic art workshop, ‘Back to Basics’, during the summer of 2008, in Basel, Switzerland. She has received several grants from the Nevada Arts Council, and her artwork is in private and public collections. Ms. Brown works from her studio in Reno, Nevada. She teaches workshops in all her mediums, and is currently working on a solo exhibit at Saint Mary’s Art Center, Virginia City, in July, 2026. This exhibit will highlight her latest wood relief sculptures created from her original carved woodblocks.
