Robert Rossiter

R. Rossiter is a painter based in Carson City, Nevada, working primarily in acrylic, with additional work in oil, watercolor, and graphite. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Rossiter’s paintings explore atmosphere, place, memory, and perception, using light as the emotional engine of each image.

Influenced by the Romantic era—particularly J. M. W. Turner and John Constable—as well as modern masters such as Richard Diebenkorn, Wassily Kandinsky, Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, and Albrecht Dürer, Rossiter works intuitively, building paintings through layered color and strong value contrasts to create depth, movement, and illumination.
