Eileen Smith-Cavros

Eileen Smith-Cavros is trained in art & design, anthropology & sociology, and environmental science, bringing all of these disciplines to her creative works. Eileen earned an MFA degree from Minnesota State University (Mankato) and is grateful to have worked as a naturalist in some of the most incredible landscapes from Key Biscayne, Florida, to Zion National Park. This has influenced her nature-inspired art which can be found at: 
Eileen has exhibited at the Taft Center, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in a 2-person photography show entitled “Power, Land Use and Environmental Consequences in Veracruz, Mexico.” Her documentary film “Laguna Manati: Ayer y Hoy” was selected for the “Culture Unplugged” juried film festival. She also organized and exhibited in a Faculty Art show at Nova Southeastern University. Currently enjoying life, art and nature in Reno, Nevada, Eileen has participated in and sold artwork at multiple local art exhibits and received first place in the Ink category at the 2023 Latimer Art Club Miniature Show.
