Robert Bucknell

Robert Bucknell is an internationally recognized freelance artist with more than 50 years of experience.  He has 6 years of college, including two years as an art major.  He and his wife Diane grew up in Sacramento and moved to Carson City in 1989 where they own Bucknell Arts.  His catalog of work ranges from signs and graphics to murals and fine art.  His art has been featured on the covers of International publications:  Hot VW’s Magazine (1982) and Banner of Truth Publishing, Edinburg, Scotland (2009-current).

Until recently Robert focused primarily on large-scale murals, most of which are landscapes and wildlife scenes displayed throughout the US and at the Kwandwe Game Persevere in South Africa.   His murals are exhibited in public, commercial, and residential settings and he has also painted extensively for Cabela’s Sporting Goods.

Robert recently retired from traveling to paint murals and has turned his attention to oil painting with a preference for realism, winning him the 2022 Best of Show award at the NAA Nevada Day Show.  Living in a beautiful place like Carson City provides an endless source of inspiration for his paintings.  More of his work and contact info can be found at www.robertbucknell.com
