Michelle Bowler is a realistic graphite and colored pencil artist who seeks to develop and improve her skills with each new work. She has been drawing since she was 6.
Michelle is drawn to the control and precision of graphite pencils that is needed in realism. Recently she started working with color pencils and is attracted to the slow, layering process that requires a lot of patience. With meticulousness and understanding of the medium, the ending result is not possible with other mediums.
She studied at Parsons School of Design in New York in fine art and then moved into fashion. While busy with the fast paced nature of the fashion world, she drew daily on the computer, in pencil, and painted.
Michelle draws her inspiration from a life-long love of animals, nature, and fashion. She lives in Carson City, Nevada with her husband and golden retriever, Beau. Their two boys attend the University of Nevada, Reno. They love to go on adventures and be inspired by the beauty of Northern Nevada.
