 Candida Webb grew up in Reno, NV, as a third generation Nevadan, and has  always been an explorer of the basin and range. She shares her depictions of  beautiful, remote, and iconic places through saturated and expressionistic  landscape oil paintings. Starting with numerous phone photos for reference, she  builds her paintings layer by layer, focusing on light, color, patterns, and texture.  She has taught various art disciplines through the Nevada Museum of Art, Very  Special Arts-NV, Wilbur D. May Museum, public and private school programs,  most recently in the Tahoe region with Arts for the Schools, located in Truckee  California. She has facilitated workshops through Nevada Basin to Range  Exchange sponsored by the Nevada Arts Council, and a weeklong painting  workshop in Yosemite Valley with the Yosemite Conservancy. She was honored to  be the 2021 Artist-in-Residence at Great Basin National Park, and was recently a  featured artist in the 2022 summer edition of Tahoe Quarterly 

 Selected exhibits include Friends of Nevada Wilderness, Nevada Artist  Association Gallery, numerous Washoe County libraries, art doors sponsored by  Doors to Recovery, North Tahoe Arts, Bristlecone Gallery at Western Nevada  College, Nevada Fine Arts, CCAI Courthouse Gallery, Bob Cowell Gallery, and  the Yosemite Museum Gallery traveling group exhibit-Yosemite Renaissance 34.  Her painting, Juxtaposition, was selected by Nv Humanities for their 2020 Nevada  Day card, distributed throughout the state of Nevada.  Her work can be seen at www.candidawebb.com.
