Being an artist is a deeply personal journey of self-discovery and growth, a process
with limitless possibilities.
I’ve adventured, I’ve lived, I’ve experienced some of the most beautiful places in the world. What I’ve drawn from each of these has become the very essence of my
being and I strive to translate this through my work.
After years of practice on my own, I looked to further my learning and soon came
under the care and tutelage of an experienced and well-known local artist, Tina
Tyrell. Tina has expanded my practice from what once was photo-like realism to become a more “painterly” and personal expression of my chosen subjects.
In the fall of 2019, I attended Sedona’s Fall Plein Air Workshop with Master Painter,
Betty Carr, ASIM, APAP. Through this journey, I’ve discovered that painting in the outdoors is inspiring and very beneficial to the outcome of my work. I intend to continue this form of art while integrating its lessons into my studio time.
Art is my life’s journey with untold possibilities!
