2025 Winter Show Call for Artist – Nevada Artists Association

Gallery hours: 12-4PM, Tuesday -Sunday, closed Mondays and for holiday breaks Judging Sunday morning (closed to public) February 16, 2025
Reception: February 23, 2025, 2-4 PM (refreshments served, bring friends and family) Work (unsold) pick up: 9-12PM, March 29, 2025 (also is show change for member Spring Has Sprung Show)
NAA Marketing
Send photos of each entry to [email protected] anytime up to February 15. Give file names for photographs of your entries that include the title of the piece and your name. For example: River in the Desert by Jack Spratt. This helps NAA market your work during the run of the show and when there are sales of your work.
Entries
Any new member joining on entry day will be considered a member, pay member fee rates, and will be a member through the end of 2025. Membership information can be found at: http://nevadaartists.org/membership/ .The “Judged Show” Entry Form and Show Rules and Regulations can be found at: http://nevadaartists.org/shows/ If you don’t have access to a computer there will be a limited number of entry forms available at show change. Entry Fees: Limit to three entries per person. Must be 13 years or older. Members – 1st piece $10, 2nd piece $5, 3rd piece $5. Non-Members – 1st piece $20, 2nd piece $10, 3rd piece $10.
• Entries may not have been entered in the previous show nor any previous NAA Judged Show.
• Entries may not exceed 3 feet in width (including frame), and 16 square feet (including frame). Basically, no more than 3 feet wide by 5.33 feet high (including frame) and will stay on exhibit for the duration of this show unless sold by the NAA Gallery. • You may not participate in any “side deals” that dishonor this agreement. If an entry is later sold due solely to exposure in this show, the gallery commission agreement will be honored.
• Entries are your own creation, not started or completed in a class, and if a reference was used it does not violate any copyrights and/or permission was granted by the source.
• Entries must be original art (not reproductions), and/or photographs or prints (lithographs, gel prints, batik prints, etc.) are one-of-a-kind and exclusive during this show. No kits or templates are acceptable.
• Entries must be picked up at the close of this show. Items left beyond 45 days of close will become the property of NAA unless other arrangements are made with the NAA Board.
All entries intended to be hung must have a wire for hanging with taped ends and felt or plastic bumpers where the entry will come in contact with the wall. Saw tooth hangers will not be accepted. Your name, the title of the entry and the price must be on the back of each entry and must be the same information as on the entry form for each piece. The Show Committee reserves the right to reject entries not in compliance with the rules and regulations. Please write legibly.
All entries MUST be for sale. Unless sold, entries must remain for the duration of the show. NAA collects a 25% commission on entries sold.
Judging and Awards
Judging will take place on Sunday, February 16 by three judges. Winners will be announced on social media, through emails and in CarsonNow. Cash awards and ribbons will be awarded for Best of Show, and to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category. Honorable Mentions will receive ribbons. There is no theme for this show. Any category not receiving three entries will be combined into the “Other” category and if there are more than three, will be judged as a category. The public will be invited to vote for People’s Choice for the duration of the show and the winner will be awarded cash and a ribbon. The winning People’s Choice entry will be displayed for sale through the Spring Has Sprung Show if not sold during the Winter Show.
